We were thrilled when we discovered this clean, low-carb, and gluten-free bread that actually has flavor!
I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic a few years ago. I had to watch the carbs with low fiber as they are quickly converted to sugar in the blood stream. Now, my blood sugar is normal, largely because this is the only bread I eat now! The fiber content in this bread is very high and almost equal to the carb count.
Most low carb breads on the market are loaded with gluten. And then the gluten free breads are loaded with sugar.
This bread is amazing as is, but by adding DANG! you get some extra spicy superfood goodness with all the benefits included.
- 1/2 cup Bob's Red Mill almond meal
- 1/4 cup Bob's Red Mill golden flax seed meal
- 1/2 teaspoon Bob's Red Mill baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 table spoons DANG! hot sauce (any flavor)
- 1 pinch salt
Directions: Mix dry ingredients together. Add in wet ingredients. Make two balls from your dough in a biscuit shape. Bake for 10 minutes on each side. Cut each biscuit in half. Makes four slices.
